Hi I'm Damaris 

Damaris Maria Grossmann is an RN BSN HNB-BC CYN, Integrative Holistic Registered Nurse, and a certified Yoga Nurse. She practices holistic modalities of yoga therapeutics, meditation, reflexology, reiki, and Aromatherapy, both in the clinical setting and in the private practice Health Connections Yoga LLC. Damaris has a passion for holistic nursing and is a member of the Tristate chapter of the American Holistic Nurses Association.

Damaris was blessed to find yoga in 2006 when she was struggling with transitioning from a military career of over five years in the US Navy to civilian life. She received an honorable discharge and the Naval Achievement Medal for her service on an in the Middle East global war on terrorism. She has vowed to now lead a life of nonviolence and to be a part of the change for the better in the world; from a battle warrior to a peaceful warrior of the heart. After her own back injury overseas and PTSD, she was drawn to nursing and holistic health and came back to the U.S. to begin her degree and certification programs. She started medical training in the navy in 2002 and has been a nurse since 2006, with a BA in nursing, as well as being a Doctor of Nurse Practice Candidate for 2018. She works as a critical nurse at New York Presbyterian
